How does a 500 kWh battery container work?

The container holds dozens of LFP battery cells, grouped into modules and racks that are connected to form a single 500 kWh storage system. When your solar panels generate excess power or the grid supplies electricity at a low rate during off-peak hours, that electricity flows into the battery via the power conditioner (PCS).

As soon as the workshop opens, the charging point is activated, or the spot price peaks, the power flow reverses and the container supplies power to your own system. The battery management system (BMS) monitors voltage and temperature at the cell level, while the energy management system (EMS) determines which strategy to follow. To do this, the EMS combines your consumption history, weather forecasts, and current energy prices into a single, continuous charging and discharging decision.

What you end up with is a system that runs autonomously in the background. You set the parameters, and the system follows them.
